Lakeland College Athletics hit 2026 sprinting

Several Rustler squads were back on campus early for training and exhibition play, including the volleyball and basketball teams. Basketball traveled to Montana, where they played several contests against NAIA schools. The men also had an afternoon tilt this past Saturday against Western Canada Prep Academy from Edmonton, whom they handled easily.

Volleyball traveled to Olds on New Year's Day, where they spent the weekend competing against multiple ACAC schools. The women were undefeated, while the men won all their contests except a 5-set loss to Keyano.

Hockey travels to Quebec this week for a three-game series with French-Canadian schools, while volleyball and basketball have key matchups as they return to league play. Volleyball travels to Fort McMurray, where they look to gain ground in the playoff race, while basketball hosts Keyano here in Lloydminster Friday night and Saturday afternoon. On the men's side, it's a matchup of two nationally ranked teams and could decide first place in the ACAC North Division.
