The Skinny:
Lakeland women's hockey continues to roll in the ACAC.
At the break, the Rustlers sit comfortably atop the standings, with just one loss in 15 games. They scored 55 goals, 12 more than the next competitor (NAIT) and allowed 21, three less goals than the next competitor (RDP). This means that their rough average for a result is a 4-2 win.
Fourth year forward Keyra Buziak is having her best season yet, leading the ACAC in goals and points, while Addison Eurich, Claudia Lammers, Amiyah Jones and Olivia Mann are all in the top 10 for points. The team's goaltending has also shined, with Schay Camphaug posting wins in all 6 of her starts and sitting second in goals against average.
At their current pace, the Rustlers would once again run away with first place heading into the postseason and have the right to host each potential playoff series. A significant advantage, considering the squad is undefeated at their new home in the Cenovus Energy Hub.
The women's hockey team kicks off the new year with an exhibition trip to Quebec, competing against three RSEQ teams. Their first league games of 2026 are Jan. 16-17 in Olds, before facing the NAIT Ooks at home Jan. 23. The ACAC Women's Hockey Semifinals would begin Feb. 27-28, with the Finals stretching across the following two weekends in March.
